Exact sizes, ready for multicolor
The letter height is the height of the capital letters, so a 20 mm “H” measures exactly 20 mm. Letters with holes, such as O, A or B, keep them.
With the base plate on, the ZIP contains the text and the plate as separate STL files that fit together. Import them at once into Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer or Orca Slicer as a single object and assign a filament to each one.
Tips for good prints
Bold fonts print better than thin ones: lines under about 1 mm wide may not print with a 0.4 mm nozzle. For small text, choose Montserrat, Roboto or Bebas Neue and a letter height of at least 8 mm.
Script fonts such as Pacifico or Lobster join their letters, which makes the text stronger and easier to remove from the bed.
Frequently asked questions
Is the text to STL generator free?
Yes. You can create and download 3D text for free, without an account and without watermarks.
Can I use my own font?
Yes. Upload a TTF, OTF or WOFF file with the upload button. The font is read in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
Which fonts are included?
Montserrat, Roboto, Bebas Neue, Playfair Display, Pacifico and Lobster, all from Google Fonts with a license that allows commercial use.
How do I print the text in two colors?
Turn on the base plate, choose the colors, download the ZIP and import both STL files together into your slicer as one object. Then assign a filament to the text and another to the plate.
Why are some characters missing?
Each font only includes certain characters. If one is not in the font, it is skipped and listed under the text box. Try another font or upload one that includes it.
What size will the model be?
You choose it: the letter height is the height of the capital letters in millimeters, and the width follows from the text and the font.
