Online GLB & glTF Viewer
Drop a GLB or glTF file to preview it in 3D with its textures and materials, and check its real size. It works in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
How to open a GLB file online
- 1
Drag your GLB or glTF file onto the box above, or click it to choose a file.
- 2
Rotate the model by dragging, zoom with the mouse wheel or a pinch, and pan with the right button or two fingers.
- 3
Switch between front, top, right and isometric views, and turn the wireframe and the grid on or off.
- 4
Check the dimensions, volume, surface area and triangle count in the measurements panel.
- 5
Save a PNG image of the current view.
What is a GLB file?
GLB is the binary version of glTF, the standard format for 3D models on the web, often called “the JPEG of 3D”. A single GLB file packs the geometry, materials, textures and even animations of a model.
It is used by online stores to show products in 3D, by augmented reality apps, by game engines and by tools like Blender, which can export it directly.
Supported files
The viewer opens GLB files and self-contained glTF files (with their data embedded). It supports meshes compressed with Draco and Meshopt, which many exporters use to reduce file size.
A glTF file that references separate .bin or texture files cannot be opened on its own: export it as GLB to get a single file.
Measurements and units
The glTF standard always uses meters, so the real size of the model is known. The viewer shows it in millimeters, centimeters or inches.
The volume is exact for closed models. The estimated weight assumes a solid part printed in PLA, which is useful if you plan to 3D print it.
Frequently asked questions
Is this GLB viewer free?
Yes. You can open, view and measure GLB and glTF files for free, with no account.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
What is the difference between GLB and glTF?
They are the same format. glTF stores the model as JSON plus separate files, while GLB packs everything into one binary file, which is easier to share.
Does it support Draco compression?
Yes. GLB files compressed with Draco or Meshopt open normally.
Why does my glTF file not open?
It probably references external .bin or texture files. Export the model as GLB, or as glTF with embedded data, to get a single file.
